The challenge is to make your translated text sound like it has been originally written in Dutch from scratch. Translating isn’t just about using words that
match your audience's vocabulary. It’s about keeping your readers interested and getting them to take action. Context, culture and tone of voice need to be taken into account at all times.
In 2009, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Education, followed by a Master's degree in Dutch language and culture two years later. After my studies, I had the opportunity to work as a Dutch language teacher at a school for secondary vocational education and as a test content developer at Cito.
Seeking a fresh challenge, I decided to pursue further studies in translation at the Utrecht Institute for Interpreters and Translators. In 2020, I graduated as an English-Dutch translator. Since then, I have been working as a freelance translator, gaining extensive experience in various domains. I specialize in translating IT-related texts, business reports, marketing content, and manuals.
As a passionate professional, I approach each translation project with dedication and precision. My goal is to deliver high-quality translations that meet your specific needs.
I usually charge per word instead of per hour. In this way, you will always pay a fixed rate for my services and there won't be any unpleasant surprises later on.
Translating: €0,10-€0,14 per word (depending on the project size and complexity)

Reviewing: €0,05 per word (excluding VAT)
Other services: €40,- per hour (excluding VAT)
